Denim on Denim
Fashion Week in September 2024 officially ushered in the era of denim on denim once again. The looks were showcased in high-fashion shows, including those by Chanel, Ralph Lauren, and Acme Studios. Contrary to the baggy denim looks of the early 2000s, these denim looks are polished, well-fitted, and contemporary.
The denim look has also made its way into the wardrobes of celebrities. Beyoncé, post-Cowboy Carter album, has been seen wearing many denim-on-denim looks. Other celebrities, such as Rihanna, Nick Jonas, and Selena Gomez, have also been spotted wearing similar looks.

Elevated Athleisure
When picturing elevated athleisure, imagine clothes that can be worn on a country club tennis court. The pieces all have an understated air of sophistication or elevated design. This style is likely a holdover from the “old money” aesthetic of 2023 and 2024, which remains prevalent on social media. Celebrities like Hailey Bieber and Bella Hadid often wear elevated athleisure looks.
Designers such as Miu Miu and Ferragamo showcased elevated athleisure pieces in their 2024 Fashion Week collections. The runway was filled with pullovers, windbreakers, and sweaters featuring unique design elements, such as cowl necks, asymmetrical zippers, and relaxed-fit collars.
